And yesterday, it started asking for the password at random times when either the iPad or iPhone were turned on (Tweeting? Up yours! Re-enter Apple ID password!). About two weeks ago, IMMEDIATELY before this started I was forced by the iCloud server to change the password on my MacBook вЂ“ вЂњbecause youвЂ™ve used the same password for more than X number of days, and screw you, thatвЂ™s WHY!вЂќ Since then, every restart has required me to re-enter that damn password. I even went so far as to wipe my iPad, redownload iOS 9.1, and do a new install. Since IвЂ™m a broke musician, the latter is not likely to happen.ДЄfter two weeks of trying to fix this, I finally broke down and called Apple Support вЂ“ un-surprisingly they were no help (вЂњhave you tried rebooting your device?вЂќ вЂњyeah, thatвЂ™s when it starts this damn sign in loop!вЂќ). ThereвЂ™s a lot of stuff on the web about people suffering this problem вЂ“ some of it going back to iOS 4, and AppleвЂ™s solution to most people on their forums has been вЂњwipe your device and lose everythingвЂќ or, my favorite вЂњbuy a new iDevice!вЂќ This is directly tied to iCloud вЂ“ which unfortunately, is the default backup/app info sharing service.
